Conlan Brings the Caribbean...Just Not Enough!

The best foods come from those who make it with love, and to that affect I find my best soups come from the meals I already enjoy so much. Today's soup was no exception, based on Jamaican Curry it was hearty, filling, and full of flavorful turmeric and allspice.
I fairly regularly make this type of curry for myself with chickpeas, sweet potatoes or golden potatoes, carrot, peas, and either tofu or tempeh for extra protein, served besides fluffy white rice, and when I was thinking about how it had been a couple weeks since I last made it… I knew I had a soup in the making.
Looking back, I think I would have done a little bit different in soupifying this meal, such as adding the sweet potatoes later on and simmering them for less time, as well as adding some peas, a touch of lime, some fresh ginger, and topped it with some roasted cashews, but that being said we all learn plenty in hindsight, and I still think this soup was a beauty to behold.
Warm, rich, flavorful, slightly sweet with a tiny kick from the cayenne, it really checked all the boxes. The sound of spoons scraping the bottom of a bowl and not one, but THREE people going back for seconds (along with my not-so-successful attempt as we ran out) also said so.

Kevin: Mentioned that while it still can't hold a candle to my Jamaican Black Bean soup, this one was still wonderful and he gave it an 8.5.
Marketing Mike: Followed up with the sweet potatoes being a tad too soft, but still overall a 9.0.
Jeff: Gave it a 7.5 after add-ins, saying I didn't bring enough since he couldn't have his 3rd, 4th, or 5th bowl (I'll have to make two crockpots next time I suppose).
Adam: Gave it a whopping 11! He commented especially on how I take him outside of his comfort zone with more international flavor profiles, and I gotta say, glad I can help expand that palette buddy.
Nathan: 8.0
Tam: A solid 9.0
Josephene: 7.7, noting it could have been a little thicker.
Soup Club Average: 8.57
Overall a killer soup, an average 8.57, I can't complain at all here.
